Drugs in Our Drinking Water

Nationwide testing has revealed that a significant part of our drinking water has been contaminated by pharmaceuticals, probably from the unabsorbed portion of the medications people take finding its way into our water reserves.  Antibiotics, anti-convulsants, mood stablilizers and sex hormones have been detected in drinking water coast to coast.  For example fifty-six drugs were found in the Philadelphia water supply.  People are gradually poisoning themselves and their neighbors by excreting the residue of these medications, with no likelihood of any reduction in the near future.
